My co-founder and I were once just two ordinary souls drifting through the bustling metropolis. We exist in an era of convenience and constant tension—the "liquid modernity" of our world offers unparalleled efficiency, yet quietly imposes a heavy burden of social "armor" and emotional suppression.
We felt, deeply, that modern life calls for more than just cleansing; it demands a balance that allows us to shed our social masks and reconstruct our inner order. JOREAS was born from this realization.
The Vision: Healing the Soul through "Qi"
Modern fatigue often reveals itself first upon the skin. The artificial chill of office air conditioning, the floating dust of the city, and the relentless pressure of daily life all manifest on the skin's surface as a lingering layer of oiliness, dullness, and tightness. In the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this state is diagnosed as the stagnation of turbid qi—a buildup of stagnant impurities.Yet, thousands of years ago, the ancients had already found the antidote. As recorded in Xiang Pu (The Book of Fragrance) from the Song Dynasty: when scholars prepared to bathe, they would invariably brew a fragrant infusion—nourishing the bath with aromatics, and cleansing the soul with the ritual of the water.In our eyes, the ideal life is one of harmony and transparency, perfumed by the essence of nature. The vision of JOREAS is simple: to let life return to its essence, and to allow every individual to experience true freedom in every breath.

Before bringing these products to life, my partner and I spent countless hours delving into ancient texts. We drew profound inspiration from the legacy of "clearing impurities with aromatics" found in the Bencao Gangmu (Compendium of Materia Medica). Eschewing harsh chemical alkalis, we chose instead to focus on the innate self-healing power of botanical roots and woods.
Our formulations are anchored in the profound depths of sandalwood, patchouli, and vetiver. These three botanical treasures from the deep earth are renowned in traditional Chinese medicine for their exceptional ability to "dispel dampness and clear impurities." As the dense, velvety lather meets your skin, their rich woody aromas diffuse through the rising steam of the bath. They penetrate deep into the pores, gently dissolving accumulated sebum and long-standing sweat grime.
Complementing this foundation is a breezy blend of cedarwood, litsea cubeba, and bergamot, enhanced by the crisp, cooling touch of menthol—evoking the sensation of a sudden summer downpour washing over a mountain forest. Through this invigorating, cooling dispersion, the trapped heat within your pores is swept away, effortlessly dissolving the accumulated tension of a long day.
